Moditec slow-speed grinders produce like-virgin regrind

Slow-speed grinding is the fastest way to produce the highest-quality regrind – and maximize your investment in resins, especially costly engineered and glass-filled materials.

Moditec tooth-and-comb-style grinders run at 25 rpm can produce regrind with no dust and no fines – and therefore better parts, especially large automotive parts. Fines trapped in reground pellets can burn during processing – a real production killer.

Slow grinding ultimately keeps production going steadily by preventing a number of process-slowing issues. Grinding your scrap at slow speed means:

·         Like-virgin regrind from engineered plastics including ABS, PA (GF), PC, PBT, POM and more.

·         Uniform regrind particle size.

·         Quiet and clean press-side operation.

·         Processing free of metal contaminants (thanks to built-in metal detectors) and dust.

Moditec granulator blades are designed especially for slow-speed grinding, with teeth and combs that are very hard and can work well for four or five years without sharpening or replacing.
