It’s been a busy time for is with the K show, Meximold and MAPP’s Benchmarking and Best Practices conference. Here’s a roundup of our latest news and views.
K 2025: A networking extravaganza
K 2025 was every bit the premier global plastics event it has always been, with exhibit halls packed with the latest and greatest the plastics industry has to offer.
While we saw a lot – there are more than 3,275 exhibitors from 66 countries at the eight-day show – our main takeaway was the human connection.
Putting faces to names with new employees at our existing suppliers or meeting new suppliers like Tecnocanto for the first time is every bit as important as all the innovative technology on display. We also caught up with our partners from Crizaf, GT Cranes and MouldPro.
Relationships with well-established partners are strengthened by spending time together. Enjoying a meal and a glass of wine can be just as important with a supplier as spending time together training on the products.
The plastics industry is a massive industry, yet it remains one big family. There is nowhere that matches the K show for the opportunity to meet old business friends and former colleagues to discuss the industry, the market forces, what’s new and much more.
While K always unveils new products and technical developments, it is also about the personal interactions. Business is fundamentally about people, not products!
Meeting up MAPP and Meximold
Closer to home than the K show in Dusseldorf, we also connected with colleagues at two other excellent events.
MAPP’s annual Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference is a must-attend event for decisionmakers in the moldmaking sector. This year’s event didn’t disappoint – and we even cosponsored a bourbon tasting at the end of Day 1.
Meanwhile, this year’s Meximold conference in Queretaro was the sixth time the event has been held – and it gets bigger and better every year. Meximold is the only event in Mexico dedicate to molds, tooling and molding. We learned plenty during our visit Oct. 22-23, and we continue to witness first-hand the robust manufacturing ethic among our partners to the South.
